CIEN SENSITIVE MOISTURISING CREAM

For the past 2-3 years Cien has definitely been one of my favorite drugstore brands. Cien products are a great value for money and can sometimes be as good as some of the more expensive brands out there. Today I am very excited to review another Cien product, a moisturising cream from Cien's ''Sensitive'' line. 

Cien Sensitive Moisturising Cream is a hydrating and nourishing face cream formulated especially for dry and sensitive skin. The cream contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid and almond oil that not only moisturise but also soothe and protect the skin. Other skin-loving ingredients that I read on the package are glycerin, panthenol, allantoin, peach kernel oil and lactic acid. At first glance Cien Sensitive Moisturizing Cream appears to be a quality product, according to its ingredient list. 

Another thing that I like about Cien Sensitive Moisturising Cream, is that it comes in a squeeze tube, and not in a classic face cream jar. This simple yet elegant packaging is portable, allows for one-handed application and keeps contamination at a minimum. Due to the design of the squeeze tube it ensures proper hygiene for the user, it is ideal for someone who has sensitive skin and wants to avoid irritation.

Δράση: Το πλούσιο σύμπλεγμα Multi Lipid από αμυγδαλέλαιο, έλαιο από το πυρήνα του ροδάκινου και βούτυρο Shea είναι κατάλληλο για τις ευαίσθητες επιδερμίδες και τις κάνει απαλές. 

Αποτέλεσμα: Η αλλαντοΐνη και η προβιταμίνη Β5 καταπραΰνουν την επιδερμίδα και την ηρεμούν.

Translated into English:

The moisturizing face cream, enriched with "Daymoist", a natural moisturizing ingredient from corn starch and sugar beet extract, but also with hyaluronic acid, improves the hydration of the skin. 

Action: The rich Multi Lipid complex of almond oil, peach kernel oil and Shea butter is suitable for sensitive skin and makes it smoothe.

Result: Allantoin and provitamin B5 soothe the skin.

HOW TO USE

Apply a thin layer of cream on clean skin. Massage gently until fully absorbed. You can use this cream on your face, neck and décolleté daily.

MY OPINION

I have been using this cream for half a month now and I am very satisfied. In the morning, after I clean my face I apply a thin layer of Cien Sensitive Moisturising Cream and, if necessary, I do my make-up right away. In the evening I do the same, except for skipping make-up. The cream is very fast-absorbing, does not stick to my pillow and I wake up with soft baby skin. 

Even though the cream contains oils like peach kernel oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter, it's surprisingly very lightweight. I don’t see any oiliness or shine after applying the cream on my skin, yet moisturises well. Not only that, but its matte effect is long-lasting, which I didn't expect from a face cream that costs under 3 euros. This non-greasy moisturising action makes Cien Sensitive Moisturising Cream an excellent base for make-up.

However, a product intended for people with sensitive skin should not contain fragrance. I don't know why Cien decided to add parfum to this moisturising cream. I haven't experienced any redness, irritation, or breakouts and I like the soft floral perfum of the cream, but other people might not.

Overall, Cien Sensitive Moisturising Cream is an effective and affordable moisturiser with long-lasting matte effect. It hydrates well and is the perfect base for make-up.
