BEAUTY FORMULAS RETINOL ANTI-AGEING SERUM

In this review I deep dive into the texture, ingredients, and personal experience of the Beauty Formulas Retinol Anti-Ageing Serum and whether it’s a good option for mature skin.

Stand out ingredients:

TEXTURE

White silky cream with a soft floral scent.

HOW TO USE

Use daily, morning and night, after cleaning and toning. Dispense a small amount on to the fingertips then gently apply to the face and neck using circular motions until absorbed, before applying moisturiser or make-up. Take care around the eyes.

MY OPINION

The serum's consistency is lightweight and glides easily on the surface of my skin. Even though it is an oil-based serum, it absorbs really quick and doesn't leave behind a sticky residue or shine. After the application, the skin is very soft and feels comfortable and hydrated.

Although this is a retinol serum and retinol can be irritating to some skin types, fortunately I didn't experience any sensitivity. I personally only use it at night and it works well with other products in combination. 

However, Beauty Formulas doesn't mention the percentage of retinol its serum formulation contains. When using active ingredients like retinol on my skin, I need to know the percentage so I can adjust the dosage to what works for me. On the other hand, what works for me may not work for someone else because we all have different skin types and skin conditions. So I can't say if this retinol serum is effective because I've only been using it for 1 week.
