MEDITERRANEUM NOSTRUM MMXIII FACE CLEANSING GEL

I was looking for a face wash with a gentle formula. Something to deeply clean my oily skin. But not disturb the skin’s moisture balance. So, I purchased the Mediterranean Nostrum MMXIII Face Cleansing Gel by Mediterranean Care. This face wash has some good moisturising ingredients in it, like Hyaluronic Acid and Allantoin. In addition, Mediterranean Care is a Greek company.

TEXTURE

Jelly texture. When mixed with water, the gel lathers well. The lather is soft and feels nice on the skin. There is a light pleasant fragnance that disappears after cleaning.

HOW TO USE

Apply morning and night by working up a lather on a wet face. Rinse with plenty of water.

MY OPINION

The product lathers well when it comes in contact with wet skin. It has a light fragnance which makes the cleaning experience pleasant. When washed off, it leaves no fragrance residue. 

As a face wash it does an excellent job of removing dirt and makeup from my face. Completely removes any oiliness or grease. It leaves my skin clean without irritation. 

I am pleased that it doesn't leave my skin dry. This is a gently face wash that does not disturb the skin's moisture balance. Thus I really didn't experience any ‘tight’ feeling even after 15 minutes of waiting before applying moisturizer. My skin was very soft and smooth. However, I was not satisfied with its moisturizing effect. According to its ingredient content, I was expecting it to be more moisturizing than I experienced.. But no, it wasn't.. From one hand, my skin was not feeling dry or tight, but didn't have that glow either. That being said, it is important to follow it up with a moisturizer even if you have oily skin like me.
