ORGANIC SHOP ALGAE & SEA SALT BODY POLISH

When it comes to self-care, one of my favourite activities is having a small spa session at home. With the nice fresh lemon leaves scent from the Organic Shop Algae & Sea Salt Body Polish filling up the room, I start to scrub and relax. This process calms me and get me all ready for another heavy week.

PACKAGING

Plastic jar with lid. Recyclable. The packaging looks cheap and simple but it does the work. 250ml.

TEXTURE

Liquid jelly (not runny) with grainy ingredients (sea salt). The scrub has a lemon leaves scent that is very pleasant and refreshing. It has a dark green color and it doesn't stain the bathtube. When it is rubbed on dry skin it changes its colour to a very light greyish green colour.

Sodium Chloride (salt), Glycerin (vegetable glycerine), Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter), Maris Sal (Sea Salt), Laminaria digitata Extract * (organic algae extract), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Aqua, Parfum, Limonene , Linalool, Silica, CI 77007, CI 77288, CI 77499 (*) - Ingredients from organic farming.

HOW TO USE

Apply to damp skin in a circular motion, then rinse thoroughly. Use two to three times a week for the best results.

MY OPINION

First thing which I found unique about the Organic Shop Algae & Sea Salt Body Polish, is its texture. The unique texture not only exfoliates but also at the same time, it moisturizes the skin. This body polish upon massaging melts on skin and makes the skin smooth and hydrated. Feeling the baby skin right after scrubbing is something I look forward to. My skin definitely loves it.

The scrubbing experience is comfortable. The grains of sea salt are large and visible, but not harsh on the skin. The pleasant smell of freshly grated lemon leaves is very refreshing. Αfter rinsing, the scent fades.

However, while the Organic Shop suggests to use this scrub on damp skin, I like to use it on dry skin instead. As I have mentioned before, I am environmentally conscious and don't like to waste products. I found that on wet and damp skin this scrub becomes too slippery. It doesn't stick well on the skin's surface. Therefore, much product falls on the shower floor while I’m rubbing it in. But when I rub it on dry skin the product melts nicely without fallouts. 

The Organic Shop Algae & Sea Salt Body Polish is an affordable body exfoliator that makes my skin beautiful. It was totally worth the purchase.
