When it comes to skincare, few products have as many uses as Vaseline. The iconic petroleum jelly has been a staple in medicine cabinets for over a century, offering a variety of benefits for the skin. One of Vaseline's newer products, the Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly, offers the same versatile benefits with an added touch of cocoa butter.
It all began a windy November day. I wanted to buy a lip balm because my lips were so dry. But I am always ran out of lip balms too soon. So with that in mind, I decided to purchase Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly instead as an alternative to a lip moisturiser.
WHAT IS VASELINE COCOA BUTTER MOISTURISING JELLY?
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly is a lighter, more easily spreadable version of traditional petroleum jelly. It contains cocoa butter, which is known for its moisturizing properties and pleasant scent. The jelly is designed to lock in moisture and protect the skin from dryness and environmental factors that can cause irritation.

MY OPINION
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly works perfectly as a lip balm for my chapped lips. And they smell like cocoa butter all day! I also use it upon makeup on my cheeks for a natural glow.
The key is to apply only a tiny coat of jelly because vaseline actually does not get absorbed into the skin. It stays on the surface of the skin and works like a barrier. In that way it locks in the natural moisture of the skin. That being said, applying a moisturizer on the skin first, and then using cocoa butter moisturising jelly on top of that can work wonders. In my night time skin care routine, after applying eye cream, I apply a tiny amount of vaseline cocoa butter under the eye area. The next morning my skin looks healthy and nourished.
However, petroleum jelly can easily feel sticky on the skin if you overdose it. So remember, it only takes a small amount of product every time you want to use it and it does its job perfectly. In addition to that, it is important that the skin is clean before applying vaseline. If not, the dirt and pollution could be trapped in between the surface of the skin and the petroleum jelly causing inflammation and skin rashes.
Vaseline is an inexpensive universal product that it can be used in so many ways. I also like that the cap closes tightly so I can take my Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly with me in my bag.
CONCLUSION
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly is an excellent option for those looking for a versatile, moisturizing product that can be used in many different ways. Its star ingredient, cocoa butter, provides a light, pleasant scent and helps to deeply moisturize and hydrate the skin. Whether you're using it as a moisturizer, lip balm, or shaving cream, Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturising Jelly is a great addition to any skincare routine.
