CIEN SUN LOTION SPF 50

During the summer months, when the sun is more intense, it's important to shield our bodies from the harmful rays. UV rays are known to penetrate and damage the skin over time, even causing skin cancer. Fortunately, sunscreens and sun lotions have been proven to protect our skin. And here in Greece, I have learned from a young age how important is to apply a sun protection all-year round. Today I am going to give you my honest opinion about Cien Sun Lotion SPF 50.

In brief, recently I was on the lookout for a broad spectrum body sunscreen. I was looking for something that would not be pasty or leave an unappealing white cast on my skin. Then I read some good reviews about Cien Sun Lotion SPF 50 and knew I had to try it out.

Cien Sun Lotion SPF 50 is a broad spectrum, high protection sunscreen lotion. It provides instant protection against UVA and UVB rays and is water resistant, as indicated on the package. Thanks to its formula, which is rich in glycerin, it provides 24-hour moisture to the skin.

TEXTURE

Light silky cream that is white in color and has a light floral aroma. Vegan.

HOW TO USE

Apply generously and evenly before sun exposure. Lidl Cien Sun Lotion SFP 50 is water resistant. Water resistance means that after 40 minutes in water the SPF protection level is still at least 50%. Reapply regularly in order to maintain protection from the sun, especially after swimming, towel-drying and perspiring.

MY OPINION

Funnily enough, I had never tried a sunscreen lotion from Lidl Cien until this review. While I do like many of Cien skincare products, nothing could have prepared me for how excellent this product is. 

First things first, it spreads like butter and dries down quickly. It features an oil-free formula that seamlessly blends into the skin with a dewy semi-matte finish. After all, Cien Sun Lotion SPF 50 is a water-based sunscreen, meaning that it features water as its first ingredient. It has a very lightweight texture and doesn't leave the skin greasy and shiny. It is ideal for oily skin type like me or someone that doesn't like sticky creams.

From the other hand, dry skin type could also benefit from Cien Sun Lotion as it is packed with high concentration of glycerin to quench thirsty skin. Although the product doesn't specify the exact amount of glycerin that it contains, glycerin is its third ingredient. Glycerin rich formula once rubbed in leaves the skin fresh, soft and moisturized.

From now on, Cien Sun Lotion SPF 50 certainly deserves a spot in  my beauty vanity.
